To all our sponsors that have made it possible
Looking back at all the years that we have been organising the Charity Fund Raisers, I am grateful that your kindness has helped these youth develop into fine adults.
To date, we have Youth that have furthered their skill and advanced into professional golfers. A handful represented Singapore to win medals in the SEA Games. The Gold medal won by Singapore in (2017) in the SEA Games Men’s team event comprised Johnson Poh who initiated his golf training in this Youth Golf Programme.
Youth Golf training has helped them to plan, discipline and focus in pursuing their future roles for the nation.
It has created opportunities and transformed their lives into fine role models.
Johnson Poh, Joey Poh, Koh Sock Hwee are now Professional Golfers (Teaching, touring). The game has given them an opportunity to advance into a career which they enjoy.
Sandra Lee has learnt to organise her time of sport with academic work and has graduated in Medicine and now pursuing a speciality in Psychiatry. The human mind has never failed to intrigue her and she now handles patients with stress and has a better understanding of their problems in balancing their needs.
Leverett Chua is an undergraduate in law. He started golf in our Youth Golf Programme as a beginner which he says “playing golf with the cohort of schoolmates has helped me enjoy and develop the game” to a single handicap player in less than 4 years. He also learnt to balance school work with sport to enable him to pursue a degree in University.
I wish to sincerely thank all that have helped to make this possible. Your valuable sponsorships have enabled the Youth Golf Programme survive all these 26 years.
In appreciation.
